Every advertiser in YieldBI has its own Meta connection. Connecting Meta lets YieldBI manage campaigns and sync results for the ad accounts and assets you choose to share.
For related setup tasks, read Create a campaign and Tracking & Events.
Before you start
- Open the advertiser you want to connect. Check its name at the top of Integrations.
- Sign in to Facebook with a profile that has access to the right business portfolio and ad accounts.
- Know which Facebook Pages you’ll run ads from, and which WhatsApp accounts you need if you plan to run Click-to-WhatsApp ads.
Note: Agencies: connect Meta separately inside each client’s advertiser. If you also advertise your own business, create an advertiser for it and connect Meta there too.
Connect Meta
1. Open Meta Ads in Integrations
Go to Integrations, find Meta Ads under Available, and click Connect Meta Account. If nothing happens, allow pop-ups for YieldBI.
2. Confirm the Facebook profile
Meta shows the profile you’re signed in with. Click Continue, or Log into another account if that profile can’t reach the businesses and ad accounts you need.
3. Choose what to share
Meta asks about Businesses, Pages and WhatsApp accounts in turn. For each, pick the access scope (see below), select the assets and click Continue.
4. Review the access request and save
Check the permissions and your choices, scroll down to see the terms, then click Save. Click Got it on Meta’s confirmation.
5. Wait for YieldBI to finish
Keep the window open while YieldBI shows Processing authentication. When it’s done, Meta Ads moves to Installed.
Screens in steps 2–4 come from Meta, not YieldBI. Meta lists the app as YieldBI Marketing Cloud.
Choosing the access scope
| Choice | Use when |
|---|---|
| Current assets only | You want to share a specific set of existing assets. You’ll need to update access to add more later. |
| All current and future assets | You want the connection to include assets you add later. This grants broader access. |
Pages matter beyond ads: YieldBI also uses them to read lead form data for Leads & CRM.
Turn on your ad accounts
Connecting Meta doesn’t activate any ad accounts. Their switches start off.
1. Open the Ad Accounts tab
In Integrations, open Meta Ads. Each shared ad account appears as a card with its name and ID.
2. Switch on the accounts this advertiser should use
Check the name and ID first, then turn on the switch.
3. Set beneficiary and payor
These show Not set until you add them. Click the pencil on the account card to set the default beneficiary and payor.
4. Check Terms of Service
The Terms of Service row shows status such as All accepted or Accepted: 1/3. Expand it to see each term. If one isn’t accepted, accept it in Meta before using the feature that depends on it.
Use Last synced and the refresh icon to sync account details again.
Fix a missing permission
If a feature is unavailable, open the Permissions tab in Meta Ads. Each permission shows whether it’s Granted and an Unlocks line naming the YieldBI features that depend on it (for example, Leads Retrieval unlocks Leads & CRM).
To restore a missing permission:
- Click Reauthorize. Only the person who installed the integration can do this.
- In Meta, choose Edit settings (or Edit access) and make sure every requested permission is on.
- Finish consent. Permissions refresh automatically, or click Refresh.
Warning: Revoking a permission in Meta can break parts of YieldBI, such as automatic optimization, campaign creation and creative creation. Check a permission’s Unlocks line before removing it.
Refresh your authorization
The installed Meta Ads card shows the token’s expiration date. Before it expires, click Reauthorize:
- Continue keeps your existing selections and refreshes the connection.
- Edit settings lets you change shared assets or restore permissions.
Refreshing alone may not restore missing access. If a feature still doesn’t work, use Edit settings and check Permissions.
To disconnect Meta from an advertiser, open Meta Ads and click Remove. You can also review the connection in Facebook under Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations.
